Set up integration to Zettle by PayPal

If you have an Zettle account you can integrate it with Visma eAccounting Standard. With the integration your Zettle sales will be automatically posted on a daily basis. All you need to do to get started is to set which ledger accounts to use to record the transactions, and approve that Visma eAccounting Standard retrieves data from your Zettle account.

  1. Select Apps and extensions in the menu on the left in the program.
  2. Select Payment solutions and locate the Zettle by PayPal extension.
  3. Select Read more and then Activate now.
  4. Select which ledger accounts to use.

In order to get an easy follow up and better understanding of your Zettle payments and fees, it can be a good idea to create separate ledger accounts for Zettle sales. To create new ledger accounts click the blue icon in the field and select New account.

Please note that Zettle does not separate sales for goods and services so the sales ledger accounts you chose to use will contain both type of sales.

Choose between different ledger account for sales transactions based on VAT rates: 25%, 12%, 6%, 0%, as well as accounts for payment card receivables and transaction charge.

If you use journal series the journal entries for the Zettle transactions will be included in the Other series.

  1. Select Save.

When you save the settings you will be directed to Zettle by PayPal's webpage, where you log in to your account and approve that Visma eAccounting Standard should be able to retrieve data from your Zettle account. After the approval the integration is set up, all the sales and fees, from this point on, will be imported into Visma eAccounting Standard and posted to the ledger.

If you want to change your accounts after activating the Zettle integration, you can do this under Settings - Company settings and the Basic information tab.
