Clear the web browser cache memory

Most web browsers have a cache memory. The memory saves details of the webpage so that it will load the page faster the next time you visit it.

Sometimes, displaying pages from the memory can cause problems. By clearing the web browser cache, you force the web browser to always fetch the newest version of the pages you are visiting.

Below you find instructions of how to clear the browser cache in some of the most commonly used web browsers. If you need more detailed information, check your web browser's help pages.

  1. Expand the Chrome menu bar in the top right corner.
  2. Select More tools - Clear browsing data.
  3. Select a time range. To delete all browsing data, select All time.
  4. Check the boxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  5. Select Clear data.
  6. Restart the web browser.

  3. Choose Clear history.
  4. Select a time range. To delete all browsing data, select All history.
  5. Select Clear history.
  6. Restart the web browser.
  1. Expand the Firefox menu bar in the top right corner.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Choose Privacy & Security.
  4. Scroll down to History and click on the clear your recent history link.
  5. Expand the Details menu and select what information you want to delete.
  6. Select Clear Now.
  7. Restart the web browser.
  1. Expand the Edge menu bar in the top right corner.
  2. Select History - Clear browsing data.
  3. Select a time range.
  4. Check the boxes for Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files.
  5. Select Clear.
  6. Restart the web browser.

As of 1 November 2019, Visma Advisor no longer supports the web browser Microsoft Internet Explorer since Microsoft themselves have stopped all further development. If you want to update to a web browser we support, download either one of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Safari.

  1. Expand the Tools menu (the gear symbol) in the top right corner.
  2. Select Safety - Delete browsing history.
  3. Select the options for which you want to delete information.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Restart the web browser.
