Reset company

The below checklist can really help you save time and data if you have to reset your company in Visma eAccounting Standaard. All data will be erased when you reset your company. Please read the checklist before you carry out the reset of your company.

A reset can only be done by a program administrator. To check who is the program administrator, log in to vismaonline.com. The information is found in the Company settings.

When you have reset your company you can access a read only copy of the accounting data as it was at the time of the reset. The reset feature and archived companies are found under Settings - Company settings - Basic information.

When resetting your company in Visma eAccounting Standaard

  • Disable the synchronisation to Visma Webshop

This is done under Settings - Company settings - Basic settings.

  • Disable the synchronisation to Zettle by PayPal

This is done from Apps and extensions in the menu on the left, under Zettle by PayPal click on Inactivate.

  • Export the registers you want to keep (read more in Import or export records (CSV file))
    • Articles
    • Customer register
    • Supplier register
    • Cost centre register
    • Chart of accounts
  • Export a SIE file if you want to keep your ledger posts.
  • Unlinked images will still be available from Source document images after the reset. Linked images will be unlinked and saved in the same location.

  • If you have created your own settings or templates for any of the following, this needs to be added again after the reset:

    • Accounting templates
    • Fixed assets ledger settings
    • Sales VAT and ledger settings

    Standard settings and templates are added after reset.

  • Deactivate bank integration (contact the support for assistance)

  • If you use the extension Quotes and Orders, complete quotes and orders that are in progress or print or save them as PDFs.

  • Record your account number and IBAN for the operating account, as well as the number of the latest sales invoice you have created, so that you can easily fill this in again after the reset.

  • Activate bank integration (contact the support for assistance)

    • The bank statement will be imported the day after the bank integration is reactivated.

  • Import registers
  • Import the SIE file
  • Enable integration to Visma Webshop
  • Enable integration to Zettle by PayPal
  • Add fixed assets
  • Add accounting templates
  • Add fixed assets ledger settings
  • Add sales VAT and ledger settings
  • Add allocations

    • If you import a SIE file, future allocations must be added. Remaining amount need to be adjusted. To add allocations, open the imported journal entries.

  • If you use the extension Quotes and Orders, recreate the quotes and orders that you had in progress before.
  1. Select Settings - Company settings - Basic information.
  2. Select Reset.

To carry out the reset, you must enter your vismaonline.com password.

By opening an archived company you can access your old information in read-only mode and print out various reports. Your archived companies are found under Settings - Company settings and the Basic information tab.
