Create a clearing account for direct debit

If you use a direct debit batch, your invoices are temporarily posted in a clearing account. As soon as the incoming payments for the direct debit batch are in, the invoices are moved to the correct cash account.

The system has already created a clearing account for you: Find the clearing account for direct debit.
If you need to create an additional or a different clearing account, follow the procedure below.

  1. Go to the Chart of accounts (GL202500) window.
  2. Click to add a new row.
  3. In the Account field, enter a number the clearing account.
    Use the search field in the top right corner to find an available number within the relevant number series you want to use. Just type in the two first digits of the number series.
  4. In the Account class, select a class.
  5. In the Type field, check if Asset is selected.
  6. In the Active field, check if the check box is selected.
  7. In the Description field, enter a name for your clearing account.
  8. In the Use default sub field, select the check box.
  9. In the Post option field, select Detail.
  10. In the Currency field, click and select a currency.
  11. Click .
