Receive e-invoices

Features for receiving e-invoices are already integrated in your program but needs to be activated. All invoices can be received digitally in Visma eAccounting Smart, regardless of whether your supplier sends them as e-invoices, via email or prints them and sends them by post. You will find current prices and more information about the benefits of e-invoices at visma.no.

When you activate the receiving of e-invoices your company will be added to Visma's register of possible e-invoice receivers. This means that your suppliers can see that your company is ready to receive e-invoices. To activate the feature, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Apps and extensions and select Send and receive e-invoices .
  2. Choose the tab Receive e-invoices and select the Activate button to the far right.
  3. Fill in the order information.

By asking your suppliers to send e-invoices, the transition to a more efficient way of handling purchase invoices can be accelerated. You can download a PDF, with all necessary information, that you can print and send to your suppliers. You will find the PDF if you go to Apps and extensions and select Send and receive e-invoices and then open the Receive e-invoices tab.

You will receive a notification when a supplier sends you an e-invoice.

  1. Select the link in the notification or choose Purchasing - Purchase invoices and the Drafts tab.
  2. Select the purchase invoice you want to register.
  3. Choose Actions - Open.

The program matches the e-invoice's corporate identity number with the information you have about the supplier. If the supplier has not already been included, it is added automatically.

  1. Select the accounts against which the invoice should be posted.

If you already have previously registered invoices from the supplier, the same accounts as for the previous invoices will be suggested.

  1. Select Post to ledger.

If you have a bank integration, the invoices are now automatically transferred to the bank. To authorise the payments, log into your internet bank and approve the transactions. If you do not have a bank integration you will have to register the payment manually.

If your suppliers cannot send e-invoices you can still receive the purchase invoices digitally in Visma eAccounting Smart.

  1. Go to Settings - Company settings and the Invoice settings tab.
  2. Check the Activate the scanning service to receive printed and emailed invoices as e-invoices from your suppliers box.
  3. Ask your suppliers to send the invoices to the addresses shown.

When you receive a scanned invoice, you handle it as an e-invoice in Visma eAccounting Smart.
