Update a column for all order lines
For an order with existing lines, you can change some values on all order lines at once. You can do this in the Sales orders (SO30100S) window for the Salesperson, Warehouse, Shipping rule, Requested on and Ship on columns. This is particularly useful when your order has many lines.
Follow the steps below to update one of the above mentioned columns for all existing order lines.
- Open the order in the Sales orders (SO30100S) window.
- Change the field that corresponds to the column you want to update for all order lines. The table below lists the field names and their corresponding columns in the Order lines tab.
- when you change Requested on, the scheduled shipment date is recalculated automatically, and the system will ask you if you want to update both the Requested on and the Ship on column for all lines.
- for Shipping rule, when the option you want to change all lines to is already selected in the Delivery settings tab, you have to first select another option and then select the initial option again to trigger the pop-up question to change all lines.
- Answer the question as follows:
- Click Yes if you want to update all existing order lines with the newly selected value.
- Click No if you only want newly added order lines to retrieve the newly selected value.
