Add group structure
In Visma Advisor You can connect a customer to a main/parent company to create a group structure. This is a useful feature if, for example, you want to group subsidiaries under a parent company or if you want to be able to see which private customers you are filing tax returns for under a business customer. The customer list gives you a clear picture of which customers are related to each other.
To add a group structure, proceed as follows:
- Go to Customers in the main menu.
- Select the customer you want to add as Main/parent company.

Select the Customer details tab.

Mark the checkbox under Group structure.

The space is expanded under the header, and here you can choose to add customers under Connected customers.

Specify the role of the connected customer in the group structure by selecting one of the default choices or add a new role.
Under Settings - Customer - Group structure you can add, edit and delete roles.

Select Add customer, if you want to connect more customers to the Main/parent company.

Press Save.
A Main/Parent company is marked with the icon in the Customer overview and when you hover over the icon you can see the connected companies and their group structure roles.
When you mark a customer as a main or parent company, the Group structure column is automatically added to the customer overview on the far left. By clicking on the column header, you can choose whether to display All, Main/parent company or Group structures.
If you select All, all customers are displayed. By selecting Group Structures,you'll view customers with a group structure connection. This includes the Main/Parent Company and any associated connected customers. The Main/parent company selection only shows the customers marked as main or parent company.
You can always hide/show the column by clicking on the Add/Remove columns cog wheel at the top right of the list and unchecking/checking Groupstructure.
Remove connection to main/parent company
- Go to Customers in the main menu.
- Select the Main/parent company for which you want to remove a connected customer.
- Select the Customer details tab.
- Under Group structure - Connected customers, select the customer you want to remove and click to remove the connection.
- Select Save.
