Credit an invoice with ROT/RUT deduction

If you have created an incorrect invoice with ROT/RUT deductions and need to correct it, you must credit the complete invoice and create a new one. Bear in mind that you must correct the information with the Skatteverket if you have applied for ROT/RUT deductions on the invoice.

If you need to partially credit an invoice with ROT/RUT deduction, we recommend crediting the entire invoice and creating a new one.

  1. Select Sales - Sales invoices.
  2. Select the invoice you want to credit.
  3. Select Actions - Credit.

A credit note with the same customer and article information as the invoice then opens. You cannot change any of the invoice information, but you can add extra text rows.

  1. Do one of the following when you are finished with the invoice:
Send by email The invoice is automatically sent to the email address specified for the customer in the customer register. The e-invoice is then saved under Unpaid sales invoices. The invoice is posted to the ledger.
Create PDF The invoice is saved as a PDF and can be printed. The invoice is posted to the ledger.
Send as letter The invoice is sent for printing and sent as a letter. The invoice is posted to the ledger.
Save as a draft The invoice is saved under Drafts. The invoice is not posted to the ledger.
