User rights

Go to Settings - User rights to set what permissions a specific user of Visma Ekonomiöversikt should be granted. The following set of rules is applied by default:

All users in Visma Ekonomiöversikt will initially get full permission to the service (including access to user rights).

If Visma Ekonomiöversikt is used in a collaboration between an accounting office and the accounting office's customer, it is only the accounting office's users that have full permission to the service by default.

The default settings for full permission is:

  • Full permissions to all accounting data
  • Full permissions to the dashboard
  • Full permissions to Budget & Forecast
  • Full permissions to Documents
  • Full permissions to Settings
  • Full permissions to comments

The default settings for limited permission is:

  • Full permissions to all accounting data
  • Permission to edit and move charts on the start page
  • Read-only access to Budget & Forecast
  • Full permissions to Documents
  • No access to Settings
  • Full permissions to comments

The default permissions will be displayed in Settings - User rights after the user’s first login. A user with full access to Settings will be able to change another user’s permissions before the first login of the latter.

When assigning permissions to a specific user, the following settings are available (see the field explanations below):

Accounting data and budget/forecast values

The user has access to all accounting data in charts, reports (accounts and transactions, documents attached to transactions, information about dimensions) and budgets/forecasts.

The user has access to all accounting data except dimensions. The charts, reports and budgets/forecasts for dimensions will not be displayed to the user. To deny access to journal entries and documents attached to journal entries, mark the checkbox No access to journal entries.

Dashboard

The user can not add (from dashboard or reports), move, edit or delete charts. The edit and delete icons are hidden.

The user can not add (from dashboard or reports) or delete charts, but is able to change the charts settings and position.

The user can add, edit and delete charts from the start page and Reports.

Documents

The user has no access to documents.

Only the inbox folder is visible. Files can be uploaded, renamed, downloaded and deleted from the inbox.

All documents folders are visible. Files can be uploaded, renamed, downloaded, deleted and moved to any folder.

Budget & Forecast

The user cannot see existing budgets/forecasts, or add new ones.

Existing budgets/forecasts are visible to the user. If the user has access to accounting data only for company total, the information about dimensions in existing budgets/forecasts will be hidden. Creating, editing, deleting and setting budgets to show in reports and charts are not permitted. Creating, editing and deleting forecasts are not permitted.

The user is allowed to edit existing budgets/forecasts. If the user has access to accounting data only for company total, the information about dimensions in existing budgets/forecasts will be hidden. Creating, deleting and setting budgets to show in reports and charts are not permitted. Creating and deleting forecasts are not permitted.

The user can edit and delete existing budgets/forecasts, create new ones and change the budget that is shown in reports and charts. If the user has access to accounting data only for company total, the information about dimensions in existing budgets/forecasts will be hidden and it will not be possible to create budgets/forecasts for dimensions.

Site settings

The rights to upload data from your ERP system are not managed in Visma Ekonomiöversikt.

The user is not allowed to change the settings or import data from SIE4 files. Importing data from the ERP system cannot be restricted from Visma Ekonomiöversikt.

The user can import data from SIE4 files and delete accounting data. The user can change report settings, but changing user rights is not permitted.

The user can import data, change report settings and user rights.

Comments

The comments are hidden from the user, which means that they cannot view, edit or add comments. No comments are visible in print-outs.

All comments are visible to the user, but they cannot add, edit, delete or reply to comments.

The user can view, edit, add, delete and reply to comments.

Select Save in the bottom right corner to save your user right settings. Select Cancel to abort.
