Average employment rate

The employment rate is calculated based on the work schedule. If an employee on average works 20 hours for a company where the working hours for a full-time position is 40 hours, the employment rate will be 50 percent.

The average employment rate is a mean value which shows how the employment rate has varied during the holiday year. The value is used if the employee has changed work schedule during the holiday period and this is of importance to the holiday calculation. Select Lön Smart - Employees and the Holiday tab to see the employee's average employment rate.

The Annual Leave Act for each collective agreement may vary when it comes to how holiday pay should be calculated, for example if the employee has changed the employment rate between the qualifying year and the holiday period. If the collective agreement does not say otherwise, holiday term 10 - Annual Leave Act, employed with holiday pay per day should be used when the employment rate varies.

In some cases, you may have to enter or adjust the average employment rate manually. This may be when an employee with holiday term 20 - Monthly salary with holiday allowance + variable parts has been on non-holiday accruing part-time leave (for example if the employee has been sick for over 180 calendar days and is on 25 percent sick leave).

You may also have to calculate and enter the average employment rate manually if not all the information is registered, for example if you have started using Visma Lön Smart during the qualifying year.

If you want to enter the employment rate manually, you select Lön Smart - Employees, the Holiday tab and select Own setting and enter the percentage in the field.

The calculation of the average employment rate is only done for the current holiday year period.
