Holiday pay liability list
The holiday that employees have earned but not yet used is the company's liability to the employees. The company's holiday liability is thus the value of the outstanding paid and saved holidays for all employees.
The holiday pay liability list gives you an overview of your company's holiday pay liability. The list is used at the holiday year-end closing. It can also be used as an appendix to your company's annual and interim accounts and to reconcile the holiday pay liability in your accounts each month.
The holiday pay liability list is based on event dates. This means that the date on which the registration was made determines the month in which the events occur. If the registration does not have a date, the event will end up in the same month as the last day of the pay period on the pay run that it is included in.
If you have a pay period in the current month and a deviation period in the previous month and are taking out the holiday pay liability list for April, you will need to wait until you have completed the pay run for May for the April deviations to be included.
Select Lön Smart - Reports - Holiday pay liability list to get the list. You can then make selections and choose what to display in the printout.
The field Intjänade i år shows the holiday that have been earned during the year. At the holiday year-end closing, these days become paid days for the next holiday year.
The formula is:
((employment in whole calendar days - non-holiday accruing leave in whole calendar days) / days of the year) * holiday entitlement = paid holiday
The number of days of holiday are always rounded to the employee's advantage.
The Kvarvarande shows the number of paid days that the employee can take during the holiday year, i.e. the number of days the employee received at the last holiday year-end closing.
The Sparade field shows the days saved from previous years. Employees should take at least 20 of their paid days each year.
The Skuld semester shows the total holiday liability that the company has to the employee.
If you have selected Include advance holiday, the employee's advance holiday pay liability will be displayed in the holiday pay liability list.
When the Include advance holiday box is ticked, the employer's contribution to the total holiday pay liability is reduced.
