Match payment from tax account against VAT report

When the tax is deducted from your tax account, the deduction must be registered as a journal entry and matched against the reports created for the declarations. To match the deducted tax against the vat declaration, the payroll tax report and your F-skatt for that period of time, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Cash and bank.
  2. Select Tax account.
  3. Import or add new transactions if this is not already done.
  4. Choose New tax transaction.
  5. Add the payment to/from your tax account to the tax office and add a reference. If you paid taxes you select Money out, if you received taxes you select Money in.

When you work with payments of salaries and wages and want to post the payroll tax report to the ledger, the program will automatically find a bank transaction to match your tax transaction. You can therefore skip straight to step 9 and post the payment to the ledger.

  1. Click on the added tax transaction and select Match.
  2. Under Transaction relates to select what declaration the transaction should be matched against. For example VAT report or Payroll tax report.
  3. Under Select which you should now be able to select the report to which you want to match the tax transaction.
  4. Select Post to ledger. Once the deducted tax is matched against the reports that you have created in Visma eEkonomi Smart, the accounts will balance for the selected period.
