Enable settings for ROT/RUT deduction

To be able to create an invoice with ROT or RUT deduction, you must first enable the settings for invoicing housework.

  1. Select Settings - Company settings, and the Invoice settings tab.
  2. Check the Housework for private individuals, ROT/RUT rules apply box. The allowed limit for ROT and RUT entitlements are filled in automatically.
  3. Select Save.

Articles including type of ROT/RUT work

When the settings for Housework for private individuals, ROT/RUT rules apply is saved, it is time to create or update already existing articles with what type of housework services they include.

  1. Select Sales - Articles
  2. Select the article you want to update.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Select a sales category for services.
  5. Select Work type for the article and save it.

If you have checked the boxes for both green technology and ROT/RUT in the company settings and the article concerns goods, you will also have to check another box to specify if the article relates to ROT/RUT or green technology.

The next time you create an invoice, the Housework or green technology checkbox is shown. Check this box for all invoices that should include a ROT or RUT deduction, as well as one of the options ROT or RUT further down. Make sure you have all required information from your customer in order to create the invoice and report to Skatteverket.
