Add a book

You can set up depreciation books for fixed assets by using the Books (FA205000) window.
You then assign one book or multiple books to an asset class, depending on your company policy.

1. Go to the Books (FA205000) window.
2. Click
3. In the Book ID column, type a short name of the book.
4. In the Description column, type the description of the book.
5. If you want to make a posting book, select the Update general ledger check box.
   You can select only one book for posting.
6. Select the mid-period type for the book.
7. Specify the mid-period day.
8. Click .

After you add a new non-posting book, set up a calendar for the book by using the Book calendars (FA206000) window.
