Activate or deactivate the ROT and RUT deduction functionality

  1. Depending on where you want to activate or deactivate the functionality, go to the Organisations (CS101500) or Branches (CS102000) window.
  2. Go to the tab ROT and RUT settings (Sweden).
  3. Select or deselect the check box Uses ROT and RUT deduction, depending on if you want to activate or deactivate the functionality for this organisation or branch.
  4. If you have activated this function, you can also change the settings for the currency, the next number of the claim file and the default type of deduction, if needed.
  5. In the Tax agency account field, select customer 49999 - Skatteverket.
  6. In the Balance invoices on field, select Release customer ledger documents if you want invoices to be balanced upon release or select Claim ROT and RUT if you want invoices to be balanced upon claiming (in the Claim ROT and RUT (AR531000) window with the Claim action).
Note that when you select Release customer ledger documents, the process of changing or reversing a released invoice is more complicated. See also: Reverse an invoice with ROT or RUT.
  7. The fields for deduction percentages and allowance limits contain suggested default values. These, and any other requirements for deduction, may change whenever the policy governing them is changed by the tax authorities (Skatteverket ). Changes will not be updated automatically in Visma Net. You can edit the affected fields or deselect and select the check box Uses ROT and RUT deduction.
  8. Note that if you deselect and select the check box to update the values, the default ROT/RUT type changes back to the default value RUT. If you had changed other standard values, check your settings.
  9. Click .
