K10 - Qualified shares in close companies

You find the tax appendix K10 - Qualified shares in close companies under Year-end closing - Basis for tax return - Tax appendices. Here, the year's dividend and sales are calculated. You get help with calculating the salary based scope and what wage requirements needs to be used by own salary withdrawal. The year's scope of dividend, saved to next year, is also calculated.

Once the tax appendix is filled in, the tax form K10 will be automatically created under Tax forms.

More information is available via Skatteverkets broschyr SKV 292.

Instruction for creating tax appendix K10

  1. Enter information about your company and other settings in the Basic information tab.
  2. Enter information about the company's total number of shares and partner events, such as purchases, sales etc in the Events tab.
  3. Enter information about the salary total rule, if applicable, on the Salary basis tab. Check if the salary requirement is fulfilled.
  4. Enter saved scope of dividend and how it's used during the income year on the Saved amount limit tab.
  5. Enter the date and amount for this year's dividend in the Dividend of the year tab. You will get a summary of the distribution between the dividend taxed on capital and employment, respectively.
  6. If the partner has made any sales during the year, a calculation of the profit or loss is shown on the Sales of the year tab.

The K10 tax form is now filled in automatically and is available from Tax forms.

Limitations

The appendix can only manage one sale during the income year. Once the event Sale or Gift/inheritance (-) has been entered, this is also the last event of the year that can be entered. Any additional sales during the income year must be handled in separate tax appendices.

Another limitation is that you only can specify one dividend per company during the income year. Any extra dividends can thus not be made separately.

If shares were acquired in 1992 or earlier, there is an alternative rule where a capital base can be used when calculating the overhead cost. This alternative calculation is not handled in the program.
