Create a project task

  1. Go to the Project tasks (PM302000) window.
  2. If necessary, click to empty the fields and prepare the window for a new project task.
  3. In the Project ID field, click to select the project you want to create a task for.
  4. In the Task ID field, enter an ID for the task you want to create. This ID can be a ten-character string of letters and numbers.
  5. Depending on the project ID you select, the Task ID field and other following fields in this window may be filled in automatically.
  6. In the Description field, enter a description for the project task.
  7. Fill in the relevant fields on the Summary tab.
  8. Click .

A project task automatically gets the status In planning. When the project is started, it changes to Active, and when it is finished, it changes to Completed. If you want to cancel a task, select the status Cancelled.
