Add customer

If you want to see how to do it inside the program, click on Guida mig in the program's menu bar and select the guide Skapa kund.

When you add a new customer, you enter details such as those needed to create an invoice for the customer. Next to Search new customer, at the top under Basic information, you can easily find the customer's information by entering details such as their personal or corporate identity number, location, postcode or name.

For non-profit organisations and economic associations, it's also possible to separate your members from your customers.

  1. Go to Sales - Customers.
  2. Select New customer.
  3. Enter the details you want to use to search for a customer in the search fields next to Search new customer.
  4. Select the search result that corresponds to the customer from the list shown, so that the information is filled in automatically.

The program checks whether the organisation number is set up as a recipient of e-invoices. If it's a perfect match, the customer will be connected automatically, meaning everything is set up and ready for you to send e-invoices to your customer. If the program does not get a perfect match, place the cursor over the airplane icon to get more information on what you can do to find out if your customer can receive e-invoices.

  1. If the customer details have been added manually, you choose whether the customer is a company or a private individual in the Customer type field.

The customer type you choose determines if the amount on the invoice is shown with or without VAT.

  1. Fill in the remaining customer details and any internal notes you may want to add.
  2. Select Save. The customer is now added to the Customer list.
Please note that if you intend to send e-invoices via Kivra to private individuals you need to add the customer's personal identity number (10 or 12 digits) or e-mail address.

With the Visma Kreditupplysning service, you can perform a complaint check or a credit check for your customer. Read more in the topic Perform credit check.
