Create sales invoice

If you want us to show you how to do this inside the program, click Guide me. The guide is only available when this help topic is opened inside the program.

  1. Select Sales - Sales invoices.
  2. Select New sales invoice.
  3. Choose the customer you want to invoice. When clicking the list icon in the field you can see your customers or add a new.
  4. Enter the invoice date. The date in the Due date field is filled in automatically.
  5. Add the articles you want to invoice or add a new article. When clicking the list icon in the field you can see your articles or add a new.

If you want to use negative rows you can do that. Just add a minus sign to the quantity, for example -1,00. The sum will then be negative for that row. See also Discount under More useful tips for more information.

If you want to preview the invoice or see how it will be posted to the ledger, you can select the Preview button in the lower left corner. This option is only available if you are using the accrual accounting method.
  1. Do one of the following when you are finished with the invoice:
Post to ledger and send by email The invoice is automatically sent to the email address specified for the customer in the customer register. The subject field is pre-filled with the invoice number. The invoice is saved under Unpaid sales invoices.
Post to ledger and create PDF The invoice opens as a PDF and can be printed out. The invoice is saved under Unpaid sales invoices.
Post to ledger and send e-invoice The invoice is sent to the customer as an e-invoice. The e-invoice is then saved under Unpaid sales invoices.
Post to ledger and send letter The invoice is sent for printing and sent as a letter. The invoice is saved under Unpaid sales invoices.
Post to ledger and send via Kivra The invoice is sent to your customer's Kivra inbox. The invoice is saved under Unpaid sales invoices.
Save draft The invoice is not posted and is saved under Drafts.

You can also choose to create a new invoice by selecting Sales - Customers. If you choose this alternative, you get more information about the customer's purchases and payments.
