Pricing of a customer task
You can select how to price a task once you have added it to a customer. This is relevant if you use time registration in Visma Advisor.
- Go to Customers .
- Select a customer from the list.
- Select the Pricing tab.
- Select New pricing.
- Select type of pricing. You can choose between Price per hour, Price per transaction or Fixed price.
This type of pricing means the customer will be invoiced per hour. When registering time worked, the program will suggest Chargeable time according to the principle selected in Settings - Agency settings - Min. chargeable time. Current price per time activity and employee is taken from the price list linked to the customer.
- Select Task.
- Select Valid from date.
Now you can add additional tasks for this pricing type. This is done by selecting Add task.
- Select Save when you have added the tasks you want for this type of pricing.
To be able to select this type of pricing, you need to have created at least one time activity marked Price per transaction in the task definition in Settings - Tasks. Price per transaction is given for the time activity in the price list linked to the customer. When time is registered for this task and the activity, you will be able to register the number of transactions to invoice the customer in addition to the time worked.
- Select Task.
- Select Valid from date.
Now you can add additional tasks for this pricing type. This is done by selecting Add task.
- Select Save when you have added the tasks you want for this type of pricing.
If you select Fixed price for the task, you specify the amount and the estimated hours for the task. You then register the time worked as usual on the task. Once invoicing is completed, the specified number of hours per invoice occasion will be saved as invoiced hours in the statistics. These hours are set against the actual time taken, which enables you to follow up the utilization ratio per employee, for example.
- Select Valid from date.
- Select Task.
- Enter Fixed price for the task.
- Enter Estimated hours.
Now you can add additional tasks for this pricing type. This is done by selecting Add task.
- Enter Invoice text.
- Add a Description, if you want to describe what is included in the task.
- Select Invoice frequency.
- Select First invoice date.
- Mark the check box Ongoing fixed price, if you wish to have the invoice plan continuously ongoing.
You can choose to have the checkbox unmarked or marked by default. This is done under Settings - Agency settings - Other settings under Setting Ongoing fixed price.
- Select Update invoice plan to create the invoice occasions..
Here you can redefine the settings for your invoicing, such as changing Invoice date, Invoice text, Fixed price and Estimated hours.
- Select Save when you have added the tasks you want for this type of pricing, and have finished modifying the invoice plan.
If the last invoice occasion for an existing fixed price is coming up, instead of creating a new fixed price you can renew the current one, or use the alternative Ongoing fixed price. If the you wish to change the price for coming invoice occasions, you need to renew the invoice plan.
