Reconcile balance sheet and profit and loss accounts from the bookkeeping

In Visma Skatt & Bokslut Pro, a natural starting point is the reconciliation under Period closing/Year end closing - Reconciliation BS or Analysis IS. A reconciliation involves comparing the bookkept value of each account against statements from other sources, such as a bank statement, where the same transactions have been recorded.

Quality WILL make you more efficient- we promise!

  • Use the checklists! This will make it a lot easier to create and edit your slide shows. If you are a bureau, you can use templates and save a set of checklists as a template to be used for multiple clients, saving a significant amount of time as you won't have to set up the checklists individually for each of your clients.

  • Use the built-in, automated checks to look for deviations. They will be run automatically and warn as soon as something falls out of the ordinary - not necessarily wrong, but not normal.
    The reconciliation process will be more secure and save you lots of time. Use them as they are out of the box, adapt them or create your own. As a bureau, you can also here save controls as templates and apply them on multiple clients.

  • Make sure to keep all accounts reconciled, with appendices.

Transaction analysis in Skatt & Bokslut

Start by reconciling the accounts in the balance sheet so that the balance in the bookkeeping is correct. By using Visma eEkonomi, you'll get lots of help with automatic reconciliation and documentation. You use reconciliation appendices where necessary and facilitate your work. You can also of course also use your own, external appendices that you create easily by dragging and dropping them on the account or account group. This is useful when you have external sources for transactions, such as bank statements.

The appendices for Real estate tax and fees, Special employer's contribution, Tax on return and Preliminary tax should be created before the profit/loss planning to make the process optimal.

Be smart with periodic reconciliations!

We recommend you to always activate Period closing to enable periodic reconciliations. With such, you gain lots of time when it's time for year-end closing. You'll also be able to give timely advices to your clients and will discover errors or mistakes earlier. A smart way to distribute your workload over the whole year and at the same time increase the quality.

Adjust the tax and make a profit/loss planning

The result planning under Tax calculation - Profit/loss planning is the place where you see the different outcomes for your tax planning alternatives. Use one of our suggested alternatives, or create an alternative of your own. You can always adjust the calculations under Tax calculation - Tax adjustments, among other, the non-deductible expenses. All bookings will be updated when you select an alternative and the values are transferred to the corresponding form under Tax forms.

The profit/loss planning gives a good overview of different outcomes and consequenses of the tax planning alternatives. If you are working in an accounting office, make sure to use in discussions with your customers.

The result after tax is calculated in Year-end closing - Tax calculation. The adjustments made in Non-deductible recorded costs, Non-taxable recorded revenue and Other tax adjustments are automatically transferred to INK2S, along with Notional revenue for tax allocation reserve.

After a choice for provision or resolution has been made in Tax calculation - Additional depreciation of machinery/equipment, the appendix Accumulated additional depreciation is automatically generated. A system voucher (closing entry) for change of additional depreciation of machinery and equipment is also automatically created, based on the choice you have made. If you make any changes in Tax calculation - Additional depreciation of machinery/equipment, both the appendix and the closing entry are automatically updated accordingly.

After a choice for allocation or reversal has been made in Tax calculation - Profit/loss planning, the appendix Tax allocation reserve is automatically generated. A system voucher (closing entry) for this year's result, income tax and change of tax allocation reserve is also automatically created, based on your choice.

After the above mentioned choice is made in Tax calculation - Profit/loss planning, the final income tax is calculated and the appendix Income tax is automatically generated.

Create the annual report

We have collected all the functions you need in one place to create the annual report according to K2 and K3 under Year-end closing - Annual report. Make sure to use the checklists. This will make it a lot easier to create and edit your slide shows.
The names of the board members and the auditor can be fetched from Bolagsverket directly from the Signatures page. Under the Submission page, you see if the annual report contains any formal errors and you easily run a check against Bolagsverket to ensure that the information is valid. When you have completed the annual report and have marked it as complete, the checklist in Visma Advisor is automatically updated.

Sign the annual report

With the built-in integration with Visma Sign, you manage the signing of the annual report and the annual general meeting protocol under Year-end closing - Annual report - Digital sign. The signatories receive a notification via e-mail and can identify themselves with BankID before signing the document. You have full control over the entire signing process and you see the ongoing status of each signatory. The signing dates are automatically entered on the Signatures document as the signatories sign. When all signatures are done, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail.

Complete with tax return appendices

INK2 and related tax appendices should already be completed, but you have the possibility to complementary tax appendices you need and fill them in. Under Tax Forms, you see the completed result. Make sure to get some other eyes on the result to ensure the quality.

Submit the declaration and annual report digitally

Once the annual report is complete, a copy and the financial statements approval is submitted digitally from Year-end closing - Annual report - Submission. Any auditor's report is uploaded by the auditor independently from Visma Skatt & Bokslut Pro. It's only when these documents have been signed on Bolagsverket that the annual report is submitted. The persons who will sign the financial statements approval and the auditor's report (if applicable) will receive an email with a link. They click on the link, log in using BankID and then approve the annual report by signing the documents digitally. The signing must be done within 21 days.

The tax forms are automatically pre-filled with what you have previously entered and under Year-end closing - Tax forms, you have them all collected in one place. From Submission, the program checks the tax return for common errors and when all is complete, you submit the tax return, together with all related tax forms to Skatteverket from here via the Income statement 2 - submit (API) submission method. For the tax return to be considered as submitted, the signatory or declaration agent need to log in to Mina Sidor at Skatteverket and sign the document.
